A LITTLE KNOW-HOW

About this tool

Wrap each line of a list with consistent text. Add bullets, simple numbering or a shared prefix and suffix without editing items one by one. Use {n} in either field to insert each item’s one-based position.

How to use it

  1. 1

Enter one list item per line.

  2. 2

Set the prefix and suffix; use {n} for a number.

  3. 3

Format the list and copy the output.

Questions, answered

Can I use this to generate numbered lists?

Yes. A prefix of “{n}. ” creates 1., 2., 3. and so on. Numbering is applied after optional blank-line removal.

Does it escape text for SQL, HTML or JSON?

No. Prefix and suffix insertion is literal. Use a proper serializer for data or code where special characters must be escaped.
