A LITTLE KNOW-HOW

About this tool

Translate integer values between common number bases without floating-point rounding. BigInt arithmetic preserves integers larger than JavaScript’s normal safe-number limit. Negative numbers and matching 0b, 0o or 0x prefixes are supported.

How to use it

  1. 1

Enter an integer and select its current number base.

  2. 2

Choose the base you want to convert it to.

  3. 3

Convert and copy the exact integer result.

Questions, answered

Are large integers exact?

Yes. The conversion uses arbitrary-precision integers and accepts up to 4,096 input characters. It does not pass your number through floating-point arithmetic.

Does it support fractions or two’s complement?

No. It converts signed whole-number values. Negative output has a minus sign; it is not a fixed-width two’s-complement bit pattern.
